sooo me and illya went to the old parliament house on my recommendation,
to jam..well we wanted to do it at the open field initially.
BUT THE WEATHER....

anyway the chronology is messed up.
in all, it was a nice place to jam, windy and sheltered.
just that ppl kept coming to take pictures and all,
it is a pretty place after all

ok so i'll finally update about MOGWAI.
what can i say except that it was nothing short of amazing,
and no amount of words can express how great they were.

i saw mr faizal there, WTH,

we had an hour to kill before our train came.

i am about to babble, if you read till the end, i'll praise you.

me, mimi, shazwan, syed, arvin & jiayang went to the beach yesterday.
i loved it cause it was fun! i love the beach,
the sun was not too hot, just giving us a comfortable warm embrace.

& when me jiayang & arvin left we had chocolate ice-kachang & talked alot.
Jiayang was betroot red & very tired. I was tired too & bummed
cause i came to play volleyball & they got a court when i was already going home.
I'm still not over it, i felt like killing people.

Also i'm still jobless,
i wanted to work at borders or times, cause i love books, but they're not hiring anymore :(
llya's got a job at kino & i'm so envious cause she'll be surrounded by books T.T
come to think of it i almost smacked myself for not thinking about kino.
I also wanted a job at HMV, but they weren't hiring anymore either,
& the dude i asked was so soft i wonder how he got the job

I went around with shazwan scouring for jobs,

I applied for an internship, data recording & at the body shop.

everybody wants a holga. but, if as you might have heard from me before,
holga is over-rated. they probably want it cause the rest of the world has it.
i want to get my hands on the DIANA camera. but it's hard cause it's old & they're not in production anymore, have to get one on ebay or scout around.

holga is fantastic, no doubt,
but the diana camera has the same name as me so i like it more.

NO LA.
because it's old, the built is very sad, very fragile, i'll probably break it within a year if not sooner. however, Diana cameras produce softer & dreamier pictures with daring colors.

i think the best way is to put Diana lens on a holga camera.

wooo the F1 race is on!
why is it cool to have the race at night?
dangerous la! & also this is the first race they're using the electronic flag!
& also, if there's an accident or whatnot, the singpore flyer will shine red,

also the lights in the circuit will make the drivers look as if the race is taking place in the daytime even though it is at night.

i'm not angry at all, i'm just extremely upset.
it is very sad when your religion is being criticised & accused of something it is not.

How can an educated man come up with such a thing?
he is not even muslim, how could he pass judgement so blatantly,
under the alibi that he believes everyone should know the truth, which is a complete lie!

Howcould he educate muslims about their own religion!
Our prophet was a patient man, he was a great man that he did not know,
& if our prophet was still alive to see this, he would not even criticise this guy.
that is how forgiving he is.

& that tv show host, how can he just swallow it all in!
How can you generalise Islam because of the actions of men who are not even proper muslims!
they do not even pray, they do not even follow islam properly!

People only focus on the bad,
they do not tell you that the banks follow the islam way of banking,
they do not tell you that a doctor once recited the verses of the quran to a cancer patient & he was cured.
they do not tell you that our prophet visited his own enemy when he was sick.

I can only hope & pray that the people who read this book will have enough sense of humanity in themselves to know that this book is harsh, untrue & utterly ridiculous, covered by the facade of a suit-clad man with a nod-worthy diction.

Islam is a religion of peace,

we broke our fast at burger king,
where me & isk challenged who could eat more fries,
we were on the same speed (though i was struggling)
then they had to make me laugh. cheaters

when we came in for this cycle was already performing,
followed by fire away samson! man, the crowd is awesome
i think mainly cause it's a paid gig. & FAS were definitely better here than during tapestry?

i can't believe i'm sitting cross-legged & the feeling of fear that crept up to me last week,
i've no idea where it went. it dissipidated into thin air, come backkk

prelims was a breath of fresh air.
e maths paper 1 was almost insultingly easy (though i didnt do the stem & leaf diagram)
paper 2 was a notch tougher physics was arghhh,
but chem was easier than i had expected.
then again i didnt study physics at all, but focused alot of atention on chem
i might pass a maths, i'm praying hard i will.

today after almost a month of anticipation i'm going for salad daysss!
yay cant wait for postbox! & first time i'm going to watch atc,

i dubbed 12th august 2008 the happiest day of my life,
it was my first real concert (apart from rivermaya, which was a $15 concert infested with filipino maids)
the day, i met one of my favourite bands ever.

went there with pravin & mugilan my favourite ah nehs.
they were such bullies, lucky i'm not rascist,
but i got to eat ben & jerry's so i'm happy :p
ok whatever.

he was wearing a green cardigan but he took it off after 3 songs.
omg, they didnt need an intro they immediately played,
& they played 3 songs back to back!

i remember the first song they played was bixby canyon bridge,
& they played soul meets body:

when they played sound of settling, it was INSANE,
omg i got so highhhh, title & registration was awesome too,
actually EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME.

he is hot, all 32 years of him.

the bassist was superb,
the totally owned the stage,

oh they were so good, they were perfect!

& they didnt play some songs i would have loved to hear but like what pravin said

omg then there was an autograph session, which i managed to sneak into.

Ben was so sweaty! it was his brithday & i shd have bought him a present!

went to ignite with illya!
been ages since we went for a performance (i really dont like the word 'gig')
talked abt stereotypes , fads & sincere/insincere fans before going out.

WE SAW SAMEER FROM SET FOR GLORY. OMG
DREAM COME TRUE OKAY, WAHHHHHHHHH.

set for glory was one of the first few local bands we fell in love with,
i remember, it was from a youtube video i saw,
faris whip, his hair & all. gosh.

ok anyway,
i didnt really take much pictures cause i was too busy having fun.
lol, & dont talk about videos cause they're tarnished with me & illya's screechy voices.

Plain sunset was first, we thought they would be last,
but then again, there was electrico.
& of all plain sunset performances i've went to,
this has the 2nd best stage & lighting,

but the most stale crowd...it was so weird.
normally everyone would be jumping & singing along.

went out with them yesterday,
cause it Singapore Arts Cafe was closing down,
apparently Jonathan How (owner) had to choose between quality of family & the cafe.
it was really wonderful to be there, everyone was singing their hearts out,
including this one opera guy clad in a suit and all, he was kinda weird.

chippy's regular. hahaha,
sooo on the way illya told me a story & i remember saying

"if i could unsolidify i'd be a puddle of water right now"

hehehehe, nevertheless i felt so happy listening.
